I've been teaching and practicing art in many forms for many years. I am a graduate of the University of Pacific and did post graduate work at UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and UC Sacramento, earning a BA (Majoring in Natural and Physical Science and Minoring in Fine Arts). Since then I've worked as: a commercial artist and display builder at County Fairs and the California State Fair in Sacramento; a float artist for Miller and Hastings at the Tournament of Roses parade; an art teacher at Calaveras High School in San Andreas and at Delta City College in Stockton; a professional photographer; and an artist in watercolor and oil media's. About 8 years ago I started focusing on painting in watercolors and sculpting with bronze. I've attended Art Training/Workshops hosted by Bob Kuhn, Jack Hines, Jessica Zemsky, Richard McKinley, Liz James, Terry Isaac, Joseph Bohler, Morten Solberg, Ann Templeton, and Mel Lawson (for sculpture). Since retiring from teaching, I've traveled around the world on photo expeditions to find resource material for my paintings. Throughout this gallery you will find examples of my work in various mediums. If you like what you see, drop me a note. If you see a painting in my gallery that you like, and want a similar one for yourself, or if you want something completely new - send me an e-mail and we'll start work on your new painting.
